Chauffeuring does have it's Benefits at times ...  ::)  SWMBO attended the Quilting, Stitches & Crafts Expo, in Reno NV last week and I volunteered to chauffeur her.  Arriving early we spent 2 days visiting Virginia City, Carson City, and Lake Tahoe.  I was more than happy to accompany my Bride of almost 39 years but I needed something to occupy me during the 3 days of the Expo.

With the weather in the high 90s and low 100s I chose not to visit any of the numerous beautiful golf courses in the area.  I reserved the evenings to enjoy the fine dining available and to test my luck at the Casino.

What to do?  What to do?  I know ... Breweries!!  One of my hobbies is visiting Micro-Breweries and partaking of their wonderful selections of "The Nectar of the gods"   ;D ;D  To commemorate my visits I always procure a Growler of my favorite brew to enjoy at home and to add to my growing collection of Growlers.  Here are Growlers from the 7 Micro-Breweries I visited.  Man does not live by BBQ meats alone  :D ;)

Since I don't drink you will just have to suffer drinking all those adult berevages yourself!
Cause if I did I would be knocking on your door any min to try one!
Live, ride, eat well and thank God!

Hey Pete if yoou like the micro breweries  and it looks like you do next time you are in the Lake Elsinor area look up two of the members here Waterkc  and CaptinKM, they are owners of a great brewery called Craft Brewing Company, they make some great brew. If I could figure out a way to get it up here in Canada it is all I would drink, I love the Obidiah Porter.

I have Craft Brewing Company on my list Ross.  Ever since seeing all those great photos and reading all the fun you guys had at the Southern California Smoke Out a while back.  I'm actually not all that far away ... about 6 hours from there.  Have a Sister-in-Law who lives in Victorville CA and the next time we visit I will make it a point to visit, partake in their brews, and add their Growler to my collection  ;D ;D  I tend to like Ambers and Porters ...

Just looked up Stone Brewing Co. and noticed they're in Escondido, CA.  We lived in Escondido when we were first married in 1972 and it wasn't anything like it is now  :D  Next time I'm in the area I'll make a point to visit, take a tour, sample their beers/ales, and of course add one of their growlers to my collection  ;D ;D

Didn't find their BBQ Sauce online.  How is it?  Must be good if you have 3 growlers of their sauce :o ;D  My guess is that they use their Stone Levitation Ale as the base for the sauce ...

Hmmmmm, I liked the Stone Porter when I was in San Diego but I had no idea they made a BBQ sauce until I saw Gizmo's post. Me thinks Gizmo has been holding out on us ::) How is the sauce buddy? If it is anything like thier beer it should be first class sauce.

The sauce has been on sale at Costco here for a few months.  I heard it was a limited production and it is made with their Levitation Ale.  If you have ever shopped at Costco, you will know the frustration that if you don't purchase something you like the first time you see it, it may not be there the next time.  I purchased one bottle and tried it on chicken and it was great.  We were at Costco shortly after and picked up two more bottles.  One of the things I like about it is it is not sweet.  Since the chicken, I have tried it on Ribs and was not real impressed however, the ribs were heavily seasoned and I believe the two were not complimentary.  My next rack will be done with a very simple seasoning like salt pepper and a little Cayenne, and I think the BBQ sauce will tell a whole different story.
Stone is only a few miles from my house so if are in the area for Stone, you are in the area to stop at the Gizmo's.   ;D
