Yes mine too. Never was a big sweet eater. But aiways liked to much salt. These days I cut back a lot. Well decided to try maple. Would have liked hickory but saving what little I have and trying something new. Its in the smoker with probe in thinest piece then i'll move according to thickness. Will try to get pics when removing 1st one. These nice hot days sure make it easy to get temps up quick.

Quick good and done. Going to go buy a slicer while it cools, then i'll stick in freezer till 1/2 froze slice and freeze.

Got to send out a lot of thanks to Habenaro and the rest of you that chimed in and helped me through this. Wasn't nothing at all making once your past the original fears, LOL

The hardest part is getting past the initial fears and concerns.  :)

That is a fact
Bacon is the Crack Cocaine of the Food World.

Be careful about calling yourself and EXPERT! An ex is a has-been, and a spurt is a drip under pressure!

Really a great job, it really looks so good, a couple of slices of that with some lettuce and tomato and maybe a little mayo..

I agree with ghost, time for a BLT
Or how bout a CA BLT: bacon, lettuce, tomato, cream cheese, avocado on toasted sour dough :)

Well we did have some BLT's! If fact I had two and if not for my stomache I could of ate lots more. Every one loved the bacon! I like just bacon, lettuce, cheese, tomato, miracle whip on white bread. Had some for breakfast and sliced thicker. It tasted more like canadian bacon. It was the third type I made. Turns out its pretty close to canadian bacon recipe.. Well looks like we are not buying bacon any more. In fact I mentioned getting a belly and trying and the wife asks why. I said its a little more like store bought and a lot more fat. Said she likes this just fine and prefers it over store bought so why change? I'd still like to try.

Bacon sliced on My new toy a Chefs Choice 610 slicer. Really works nice.

Sealed with my new Kenmore sealer. Nice sealer!

All in all I have to say the Bacon Experiment resulted with unexpected results. Figured that one would really out shine the other. I enjoy all three types and the 3d which is like Canadian is a little more to my taste because I love Canadian bacon. But now I'm confused as to which to make next time. LOL I also wanted to brag a little on my new toys. Thanks to all with the advise! It was highly appreciated! See you next time same place,,,,here!
