Hi All and thank you for the info in this forum!!!  It is great to read for sure.

I am a very recent addition to this forum (although have been lurking a lot).. I am also a very recent owner of the BDS (4)..  Just past the seasoning stage now and looking forward to trying it out this weekend with perhaps some bbq chicken quarters.  If someone can link me to a good recipe I may be able to convince my wife quickly that it was money well spent!  She loves chicken quarters bbqed on the grill, I am hoping the Bradley can up that a bit.  Thanks for having me!

Oh the Bradley is going to "up" just plain grilled chicken without a doubt!  Welcome to the forum!  Do a search for Jan's rub here on the forum or the recipe site.(I can't link lol)  It is by far the best chicken rub you can try!  Skin does tend to get a bit rubbery in the smoker, but you can crisp it up on the gill in no time.  Also make sure when smoking poultry keep vent wide open.  Ask away if you need help...someone will always help out.  Again Welcome!

Welcome Mc.  Jan's rub is a must for all smokers.  If you really want to impress her, smoke some Butt with Jan's rub for pulled pork!

I have located the recipe to Jan's rub and will be making a batch this evening, thanks to all for the welcome.

Welcome to the forum!  See as how Jan is my wife I feel OK to tell you how to use the Rub.  First of all, if you can make the Rub a day in advance the flavors will marry together better.  Next, you can use it liberally.  Lastly, if you don't have time or the inclination to apply the Rub to the chicken and let set, don't worry about it.  Applying the Rub to the chicken and going straight to the smoker is fine.

Hope you enjoy your time on the forum, your smoker and Jan's Dry Rub.
