Well it's that time of year "National Breast Cancer Awareness Month" and I'll be doing another event in Ironton, Ohio. Last year we were able to donate $1600.00 to Breast Cancer and $300.00 to Cancer Research. This year, with one event under our belt, and a full year of planning we are hoping to able to double this amount.

As most of you on this forum know that I lost my mother to Cancer on June 21st of this year. God Bless!!

More to come about this event...

For now this is a test on the ribs that I purchased a few weeks back on the trip back from Paducah.

I will trim the skirt meat on the back side (bone side) of the slab and also cutting off the brisket or what is also known as rib tips.

Using Yellow Mustard and my favorite rub.

Started a fire in my Smoke Adapter...

Smoke begins to roll in to the lower chamber.

Six Hours Later!

Full plate of vittles!

Nice little smoke ring!

Let's Eat!

Enjoy!!

Drool.  Iff'n I wasn't so far away, I'd come up and buy me a rack or two or three.  Keep up the good work - it is worthwhile and soul building!

I've got a fly fishing buddy who is doing a bike ride for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  Told him if I do sponsor him, that I would be borrowing a jeep so I ride right behind him and whip him with a fly rod.  And to be a nice guy, I gave him a choice between a nice bamboo, a hi-tech big $$$ rod, or a cheap vintage fiberglass!

Here is a pic as they came out of the smoker....

My neighbor was standing behind me drooling so I went ahead and sliced a few ribs for him.

I'm going to install a security camera up on the front of the house so that I can know when he is coming over.

LOCK THE DOORS... this guy can eat!

A really great cause my friend, Pat and I will join between 35,000 and 38.000 people on the 23rd of this month on a 5k walk/run down in Cockeysville Md for the Susan Komen group..I think we raised between 3 and 5 million dollars last year at this event.....
As most of you know Pat is now a two time survivor, the first time was 22 years ago and this year they found she had it again she has finished all of her treatments and is feeling great..thank you all...
our granddaughter who will graduate from widener university this year as a mechanical engineer has raised nearly a thousand dollars at her college for this 5k event...
Sorry I didn't want to high jack this thread...
Partner you better get an alarm, because them is some killer ribs....
