It's December in Wisconsin, and I just set up my new Bradley Stainless Four Rack Smoker.   I can't wait to use it.   Any suggestions on getting started in cold weather?

Yup. Keep it out of the wind. Let it preheat real good with the puck burner on and put a couple of foil wrapped bricks inside. Use boiling hot water in the drip bowl.
I like to walk threw life on the path of least resistance. But sometimes the path needs a good kick in the ass.

LOL that sure helps on the first smoke  ;)

If it is windy, I drape a couple of beach towels around mine, just keeping the vent uncovered and it really helps.

:)  Just finished a great batch of smoked chicken breasts and onions.   Fantastic.   I kept the smoker in the garage to get it out of the wind.   Set the oven temp at 220, and the unit maintained to keep the smoker right around 210.  Very happy with the first smoke....

Glad to hear you had a good smoking first time. I got my 6 frack out in the cold now with 12 to 13 lbs of brisket smoking, hope that I have the good fortune that you did. Just gotta figure out how long to smoke it for. Trial and Error.
Holy crow, it's smoking somewhere!!!!
