The problem with the time out has not been corrected. I am having to close the web site and re-open it. I can see my posting immediately when I go back in even though the server thinks I'm still waiting. I get this...

Active Server Pages error 'ASP 0113'

Script timed out

/forum/post_info.asp

The maximum amount of time for a script to execute was exceeded. You can change this limit by specifying a new value for the property Server.ScriptTimeout or by changing the value in the IIS administration tools.

What John Watkins (admin for site) mentioned in another post on this, was that it is the size of the database file in MS Access, which is the backend.  He mentioned he could swap it out but needs approval and time.  Till then posts are growing and going beyond the limit each post.  Thus the constant time-out due to page size to big for updates.

Wish someone would authorize him to do the update.

You had to be dreaming IKW.  I think this thing has even gotten worse on my end timing out[:(!].  Also noticed doesn't change posting# when time out.  Hope they fix it soon, always having to reopen the page.  But posting a change is real quick.

Yesterday the thing froze up when posting a reply so I got out of the forum and when I went back in it had double posted the reply. Hmmmm[?]

just testing.  This time of the day seems to be best for not timing out.  Avter 3 PM Eastern its horrid.

I had a slow doewn on this timing out recently.  I went from 82 posts to 88 and posted about 12 to 16 times between them.
