Summer Sausage With Jalapeno's Question

I will be making SS this weekend and have a request to add jalapeno's to half of the 25lb batch. Question is about how much would you add? Do you just dice it fine and mix in or grind through with the second grind?

I used 5 medium sized jalapeno's, diced very finely, in my summer sausage I did last weekend. I didn't grind them with the meat and it came out very well.
