I tried it out and was impressed with the nice job it does. It is a little slow but works great. The thickness adjustment did not move during the entire time I was slicing and the slices were nice, clean and a consistent thickness. The slide was a little sticky at first but after a little veg shortening was applied to the slider bar all was good.

And the best news is that it was FREE. ;D Got it with my Visa reward points and even the shipping was free. Can't beat that price.

This will be good for slicing the back bacon when it is done.

Can you get a deli (non-serrated) blade for it?  I think mine cuts a little faster/smoother with the solid blade..

Not sure but for now I am happy with the results of this one. If It starts giving me trouble I will check out the smooth blade option and thanks for the tip. :)
