Smoke Outs = Forum Gatherings

I am not sure if some of the newer forum members, have wandered around to all of the different sections here on the forum. There is a members section called Smoke Outs. The Smoke Outs are yearly gatherings of forum members. They are usually held at one of the member's homes or at a nearby location. They are a great way to meet some of the folks you talk to here on the forum, and on the phone, face to face. You can ask anyone that has attended one. It is basically just like a big family gathering/school reunion. Well it is once you figure out that Scott = Seemore and Larry = Kynola and Pat = Squirtthecat etc... Once all that is figured out then you can sit back enjoy some great food and friends. The Smoke Outs are regional in nature. There is the SoCal Smoke Out (Generally at or around the Gizmo residence), The Midwest Smoke Out (Generally in my Back Yard here in Eastern Iowa), and there is the SEGA Smoke Out (Which will be at the NEPAS residence) The SEGA Smoke Out is a combination of the NEPA Smoke Out from PA and the Florida Smoke Out. One of these days the folks down in Texas will get their Smoke Out up and running.

The SoCal folks just finished with their Smoke Out. Which looked like everyone had a great time. The SEGA Smoke Out is currently on tap for June 23rd and the Midwest Smoke Out is going to be July 28th. If your close to one of these. Make plans to attend. There's always plenty of food and lots of fun. Hope to see you there!!

The Hawaii Smokeout is not held yearly.  It seems to occur whenever some lost forum member shows up at my door and says, "Are you a turtle?" (to which there is only one correct answer - "You bet your sweet ass I am").  BBQ or (if really short-notice) grilled food and adult beverages soon appear  It's only happened a couple of times but is usually quite the success.

Not sure what you mean by turtle card. But as slow as I am I bet i'll fit right in. Someday be nice to have a smoke out here close to me. I do have 3.5 acres and wouldn't mind one here. But I was told the person doing the smoke out does most the cooking. Not sure I could handle all that. But maybe some day. But I do want to extend the invitation to all my friends here your always welcome to stop and visit. We may even find some food to feed you.LOL! Im not rich by any means andd Have a small country house. But we have Kentucky rules. You aw come!
