What does "spatchcock" mean?  SRG?

I have shears but generally find that using a heavy boning knife is easier for me.

i take the backbone off then ill use my hands and press on the chicken to flatten it out more. 45 min skin side 45 bone side. I seem to always finish on high heat grill
