Tiny Tim

Last night, one of my cats, Bela, passed away.  She didn't feel good yesterday, initially thought it was something in her tummy, but before bed I convinced myself that it was only her shoulder giving her trouble (there has been some minor grinding in it for a while, and she only seemed to be in pain when she tried to stand up, and when I was testing her movement, did kinda wimper when I moved that paw).

I tried not to play favorites between the 2 cats, but she was always a lot more sociable than her sister, Sneetch, so of course she got more attention.  I sure am going to miss her.  Does hurt a little more because she came to live with Dad and I after my sister passed away in 2001, so there's those 2 connections to her as well.

Gonna be sad around this apartment for a couple weeks, but hopefully Sneetch and I can do a little bonding, and get her to be more sociable with me.  We've made progress over the past 9 months or so living here, but still a ways to go.  Maybe this is what we really needed.  All I know is it hurts like he!! right now.

TT,
Very sorry to hear about your kitty. They are family so it will hurt for awhile. But then the memories help to soften the pain. Be strong Brother.

Thank you all for the kind words and support.  Miss that little furball like crazy, but so far it hasn't been as bad as around 5 years ago when I lost Sherman.  Sneetch is still doing well, pretty sure she knows why Bela is no longer here and is adjusting to being the queen.  She still looks for Bela a little bit, but I must admit I do too, even though a friend and I buried her today.  We'll be okay, just gonna take a little while.

Sorry to hear that, Tim.
I've been there, and it just hurts.  Takes more time than anything.

I've got one about 20 years old right now, and I know he's not too far from "the jumping off point"...
I can "joke" with the little devil about his age right now, but I know it won't be so funny soon.

Hang in there, brother.

I'm sorry Tim...I know your heart is heavy.  I lost my baby boy of 19 years in July.  It takes time to heal. :'(
