How does everyone store cure, dextrose, and other bulk ingredients?
I don't want my newly purchased cure and dextrose to cake into a hard rock sitting in my basement which can get humid in the summer, even with a dehumidifier running.
I've had partial bags of pre-made spice mixes cake pretty bad, and am wondering if any storage solution prevents it.
I don't want to vacuum pack it because those bags/bulk rolls add up to $$$$ pretty quick.
I triple bagged my cure, with the outer one a zip-lock.  But it hasn't been thru a summer yet.
The cost of these products isn't too bad, but shipping is killer these days, so I want to make it last.
Thanks

If you have the oxygen packs, that will be ideal. When I purchase those items, I get them from Sausage Maker. They come in plastic jars. I will store them in the plastic jars, but as I use these supplies up, I will transfer what's left in smaller containers. I like to use Lock & Lock containers. I store them in a dark, cool area. Another option is to purchase Food Saver containers. The initial cost is steep, but they are reusable. There are also a lot of vacuum containers on the market, that will cost less then the Food Saver. These containers either have a built in pump, or you need to purchase a hand pump.
