Jan saved my butt(s), literally

Most of you know I am married to Jan, as in the Jan's Original Dry Rub.  Well, I have a bad back due to my right leg being about 3/8 inches shorter than my left leg so my hips and spine are never in alignment.  After lugging 130 lbs of butts out of Sam's Club and into the meat wagon and then out of the meat wagon into the garage fridge yesterday and then bending over today to clean my larger smoker plus lugging 130 pounds of pork butts from the garage fridge into the house today, my back was toast.  Now, Jan is a real girly girl.  Loves makeup, shoes, dressing up, shopping, etc,........ right up until it comes to prepping meat for the smoker.  She said "if you will bring the butts in, I'll prep them".  She singlehandedly prepped 16 pork butts for the smoker today.  All I could muster was to shake the Rub on them and lug them back out to the garage fridge for a rest.

She is crazy about prepping meat for a smoker.  Ribs, butts, pork loins, briskets, chickens, you name it, the girl can prep it.

After 38 years, I think I'll keep her! 8)

You and I are on the same wavelength Iceman!  9 of those butts are in a smoker as I type.  9 more tomorrow night.  Yeah, I know 9+9 does not equal 16 but circumstances arose that required 2 more. 8)

I think I broke 6 bones (in ONE ankle) lifting 70 lb boxes of butts today.
PIGS ARE MEAN.  They deserve to burn in smokers ;-)
