Hi my Bradley 6 rack smoker arrived yesterday, can't wait to start using it. I have read a lot of posts on hear over the past weeks and see that a lot of people live in hotter climate countries, my question is, how much does the outside temperature effect smoking outside? Has anyone built a cabinet type thing for there smoker, or smoking in a 20ft shipping container. Thanks in advance.

welcome aboard, temperature  will affect the box temp along  with  wind to help with issue some have  built structures to house the smoker, other  has  bought sheds and modified them to suite there  needs,

here is what i have  done take a look and others  will be  along to give you  a  few  ideas

Thanks BeefMan. That looks cool, I've seen a similar type garden storage thing in our DIY shops  here,
So building something that is well insulated will definable help, our average temp over here except summer for about 1 month!!, normally is between 13 Celsius - 19 Celsius, is there a temperature outside that you wouldn't bother entertaining smoking a piece of meat.

i have heard some cooking at  lower  temps then you have  indicated... closer to 0 Celsius and was  still successful in the  smoking /  cooking  efforts, you  may also  want to  consider smoking the  meat in the smoker then  into your  main oven to  finish the cooking process you  would have better control over the temp and better stability in  low outside temps....

Also adding  some insulation into the  shed /  smoking  structure will  help in  lower temps only concern  would be no insulation be able to get onto the food other then that  good to go... also allow for  ventilation of moisture and the smoke from the bradley to  outside of the cabinet...

Hope this helps... if you  have  more  questions .. ask were here to  help

Living in northwestern Ontario I have smoked in all kinds of weather. When its 40 below it just takes longer to get to your desired internal temp. You see this is one accessory I use when smoking in sub zero temps.  ;)

And heres my smoking shed, as long as I can get to it I be a smoken  ;D

Devo,

Thanks for reminding me why I moved back home to Texas and reminding me that there are things worse than 110 degree heat index's, unless of course you love that kind of cold and snow.
