Killen's BBQ in Pearland Texas

Ronnie Killen finally opened his BBQ spot up a week or so ago. We got up there at 11 o'clock opening time, drove about 45 miles to get there across Brazoria county, but as we found out, well worth the trip. We saw one guy leaving with his take out bag and his folding chair- he must have gotten there REALLY early. We had an hour wait in line before ordering. Which is typical wait time.


I got the 5 meat plate (the beef rib counts as two meats, it's huge)Sausage, pork ribs, brisket and beef rib

Ronnie took time out to talk to us a bit, very nice guy. Wife wanted chicken but he only does it on Thursdays and Sundays. We'll be back next Thursday..............

Looks like a deprived BBQ town. Looks like its going to work out great judging by how the food looks. Good stuff.

Not really deprived, there's another joint in Alvin, Tx that's been open for over 30 years. Does lots of business but it also has a buffet, CFS, burgers and other food, Killen's is bbq only and open only for lunch. When he sells out he closes and doesn't keep any meat for the  next day. It's all fresh every day

Killen looks like a guy who knows how to make BBQ.  I can tell by the way his waist line pulls in at the belt.
