Newbie with 4 rack digital!

Nukeboy here from Los Osos, CA.  Just got the 4 rack digital smoker and am trying to season it (first run).  not looking good so far, but that may just be me.  I'll waste more biscuits before I post the problem...

BTW what do the symbols (flame, two smoke, two smoke, three smoke) in the middle of the display?  Currently, lowest 2 is yellow, upper 3 is blinking?
