When Bradley brought the smoker out to OZ i purchased one, and lots of experimenting resulted in some good and bad results (well the dogs loved the bad results).

I found temp control and recovery time out of the box shocking, so after reading this forum i decided to add a 900W heater and a PID.
This is where things became hard, no where in OZ that i can find sells these parts so had to purchase from the US, long story short finally recieved my heater and PID and have installed them and done a burn in and first smoke (just some chickens).

Some of the things i find hard out here in OZ are:

Finding a butchers that knows meat terms - i have had to take pictures on many occasions.
Ill post up some pics of my mod when i get home.
Also anyone know where i can find a fan kit (230/240Volt) as i have only been able to find 110V

Hayden, to my knowledge, there aren't fan kits available.  In either 120 or 240 volt.  A few years ago, there was only one company that sold a 120 volt fan kit.  It seemed that the fan kit was not as effective as people expected, and the company ceased operation.

If you search the forum threads, you will find a couple of threads on modifications that add a fan to a smoker.  It seems that only a few folks have made those types of modifications.  But there is enough information that you could probably assemble your own DIY fan kit from local sources.

my biggest problem is finding a fan supplier here in Australia or one willing to ship to OZ which has 240V
Seen most of the Mods and that's what i'm trying to replicate

Welcome to the forum. I think I recall a couple of members posting threads where the used computer fans.

I purchased and installed the fan kit that tskeeter mentioned, and he's right. It was a bust. I ended up using a 12v computer case fan with a 12v converter like the older cell phone/electronics used. It is 2.5" and can hang between the racks. I fashioned a couple of ss wire hooks and hung it close to the door between the bottom rack and the v-tray, right hand side, blowing towards the back. It started out as a temporary fix and lasted for years. When it finally burned up I bought another for $8. I was surprised that it handled the heat as it did. It works fine for evening out the hot spots.
