Plastic all-weather cover peeling off control panel-Help

Has anyone else dealt with the plastic cover on the touchpad peeling off and letting the elements in?

Likely will just Tuck Tape it back on, unless there is a better/easier fix recommended

I can't think of any better way then to tape it. Automotive stores sell clear duck tape. Other places may also have it, but I haven't seen it sold any place else.  I purchased it from Auto Zone to tape up a head lamp lens until the replacement part came in.
