Bill I know you no longer sell this item, but I just wanted you to know just how much I have enjoyed mine, and if it had not been for you I would not own one.

I use it a lot in my chicken recipes.  Shoot even my wife and mother have me use it when they are cooking chicken!

What we use it for the most is to draw out the blood in the chicken. Just take a knife and hit a bloody vein and let the Reveo do its stuff...

At the moment I got  few piece in a light solution of salt and water and after 5 minutes the water starts to run red-milky.  I'm trying at the moment to pull a recipe out of this old brain from 1987 -- beer chicken.

Anyway thanks again!

This weekend, I picked up a 3 pack of whole Chickens from Sam's, and tried out some little pedestal whole chicken holders I got some time back....coincidentally 3 of them, and marinated the chickens, one at a time, in the Reveo.

I used about a 1/2 cup of Wishbone Italian dressing,  a handful of parsley, 4 tsp. Montreal Chicken Spice, 1/4 cup Teriyak, 1/2 cup of olive oil, and lastly a little spicy parika spice.

I lit up the gas grill, and set all three of the chickens to the far right on the grill, and fired up the left of 4 burners and just let them cook slowly at about 275-290° F. for about 2 hours.  Wow!  Were they delicious.  The Reveo adds so much flavor to the usually mundane chicken.  The racks keep the chicken up and out of the pan, and I guess I could have filled the containers with beer or??

No, I didn't smoke it...wife doesn't care for chicken I smoke, but going to do some of Smokehouse Rob's White chili with two of the roasted chickens.  I just love that chili.  It won't be as tasty, had I smoked them, but it will still be excellent.

I am glad you find it useful Ray.  I agree!  They are great.

That marinator looks like a great piece of gear.  How long do you usually keep the meat in there before cooking? It definately looks like a future purchase.  :)

That will be up to your taste.  The machine first will vacuum down the chamber.  After that you will determine how long to allow it to tumble.

IMO this is a must have item.

Then have it I must!  ;)  Based on the comments here, and the reviews I've read on this product, I just purchased one late today and plan on using it tomorrow. We also eat a lot of chicken here and look forward to jazzing them up a bit. Just had chicken today so I'm going to marinade a few steaks tomorrow with the Reveo and see how they turn out. I'll let you know.

Thanks,

Don't limit yourself to just meat.  You can infuse flavor into veggies for the grill...fruit salad, pretty much anything, and it is very gentle.  Kummok, the ultimate Salmon man tumbles his salmon in it, and  inspiring me, last time I did salmon, I cut up into strips and marinated it under pressure.  It works great.  The Reveo inspired me on ways to add flavor...so much so, I bought a Hobart commercial marinator for party work - my relatives at my party or theirs.  It does up to 30lbs at a time, and the last time I did it, I did two pork butts at the same time, and they were absolutely excellent....about 18-20 lbs of meat with infused flavor.... best pork butt I have done thus far.

Hope you like it, but know you will!

WOW!!  :P :P

Well I used my Reveo for the first time tonight and was blown away. By far the most flavorful steaks I have ever cooked. Everyone loved them. My wife said she hadn't tasted a better steak in her life. And believe me if she didn't like it I would have heard about it. :D

This product definitely lived up to all the rave reviews I've read about it. Can't wait to experiment more with it.

If you like marinades this is definitely a must have item.

Thanks Olds and Bill.  :)

I did a search for marinades and happened onto this site - http://www.sdbeef.org/Recipes/marinades.htm I used the teriyaki marinade because it looked good and I had all the ingredients on hand.
