Tried this over the weekend and they turned out very good.  I used a package of lil smokies, 1 lb. of bacon and about a cup of brown sugar.  Cut the bacon into thirds and wrapped each smokie with a piece of bacon.  Popped them in the smoker for about an hour, during which I covered a cookie sheet with foil and sprayed some no-stick spray on there.  After I removed them from the smoker, i rolled each in brown sugar to coat, and spread them out on the foil.  Into the oven for about 10-15 minutes at 400 (or until the bacon is crisp and the sugar is bubblin).

I made about 40-50 of these and they were gone in about 20 minutes.   ;D

Sounds interesting, but what is a smokie?

Tiny bite sized smoked sausages...coctail weiners basically.
From the forest itself comes the handle for the axe.

That does sound tasty.  Was the smokie 100 percent covered or just a facial wrap with the ends open?  I haven't made any version for some time.  Last time was boiled in beer and then doused with some bbq sauce.  Just though of another Iceman application with sop'n. Dozen facial's and a dozen sop'n should make a tasty football treat this weekend.

it was just wrapped around the body of the smokie with the ends open.  good luck this weekend.......as long as your not a Ravens fan  :)

Hey Irish,

I made a batch of these for the Super Bowl and they were a big hit. I will be making these again. Thanks for the recipe.

Glad everyone liked them begolf, I've since tried adding some chili or cayenne powder to the brown sugar for a little spice and it's pretty good too.
