Hey Rat!  I personally LOVED the begining photo.  Saw it on here before.  Perfect for Iceman - smoking penguin and all!  Great for ALL the extreme northern folks imo.  You named it correctly.
Life is short. Smile while you still have teeth.

Hey Ice, give them bears some of your sauce and charge it to me.  I for one would N-E-V-E-R try to smoke a pinguin without it!

You've always provided pretty level-headed information, Malc, and I've always appreciated what you have to say and have subsequently assigned your opinion a higher level of credibility. My own experience is that this forum is great for in-depth discussions dealing with all means of smoking, food hygiene, packaging, etc. and even for some light/humorous discussions of a contemporary subject that has entered the arena of political spice. Based upon my own experience over the last few years, I haven't found it to be fertile grounds for "healthy discourse" of hot topics like global warming, media bias, "neo-con v. secular progressive" type  topics. Too many times, it seems to implode under the pressure of debate, usually wounding a few and causing the permanent or temporary "I quit" syndrome. That's as it should be since this is a smokers forum and those kind of discussions can be more opinion forming with friends, stout, and smoked salmon on the deck.....danged computers filter the productive spice out of such discourse anyway..... ;) ;D
Well, I try.  Agreed rat.  Let's get back to smokin' some meat.  Anubody got a good recipe for that penguin? ;D

Sure do...2 part combo.  Prepare and set up as in the picture, with some salt & pepper.  Meanwhile, in your BS, do a few pounds of pulled pork.  When the pork is done, FTC as normal, and while that's doing it's thing, take the penquin off the spit, skin and debone it, throw all of it in the fire, and eat the pulled pork.

:D :D :D
