Went to a tri county MG get together...  I have 15-16K in my MG midget. There were two there and the other one is for sale. The rest were MBG B. The midget is looked down upon as a cheap deal.  Some of those cars were unreal in what an owner had done to them; however, by next year I'm going to drop at least another 15K into this midget.

What I found most interesting is all of the "extra" chrome parts were after market stuff. No one had their parts chromed.. all of them were a shallow shinny silver chrome... yuck! When I do mine it will be in blue chrome. Rich and deep in color.

For those that don't know what a rich blue chrome looks like go find a 1955 Buick and look at its bumpers.

Anyway the pulled pork and my candized baked bean were a hit. Also I had to give away a fair amount of Iceman's BBQ sauce. Took 3 cases came home with 3 bottles.

Photos to follow...

I went to a British MG Sport Car Get Together. I own a MG Midget.

The link below is an image of me explaining how I was warming up my pulled pork using solar ovens. During the first two hours I bet I explained about them to a good 75 persons. What surprised me was how many people never had heard of a solar oven.

In fact I think more people looked at them than that MGB GT that has a supercharger on it. It has to be the most expensive MGB in the world. The guy has a good 75K in it.

Wow! You got quite a few of those ovens. America's Test Kitchen just did a lab equipment test on solar ovens. Here's a link to their interesting findings. I'm getting closer to making a decision to purchase one.

This is the 1971 MGB GT with the Supercharger.... drool.....

The X is the Supercharger.

This is the inside of the car. Where there is an X those black lips open up and dangest radio you've ever seen rolls out and does a 180 so the face of it is towards you.

I don't agree with them about the sun oven at all --that if it is a Gobal Sun Oven. Controlling the temp is not hard to do. Placing a white towel on the glass will reduce the heat. The more towel the less heat.  If anything it is to easy to clean.

BTW I have hit over 400F in a short time (empty.)

HS I have done breads, cookies, soups, poached eggs, made coffee, out cooked Susan in more than one test cook off... she creates the meals. I do one in the solar oven she does hers in the gas oven.  This week I'm baking my raw apple cake and home made carmel sauce in two of them.

Yes cloudy days are not the best for them and of course when the sun go down......
