Hey Gang,

Gonna smoke some pig tomorrow. I found pork butts on sale and it's been a while, so pulled pork it is.

One question; The butts came in smallish, 2 pound roasts. I grabbed 3 and they come in @ 7 lbs. total. Will the cooking time be about the same as if it were a single 7lb butt? Working on the timing and I figure it should take about 10-11 hours to reach 185.

Any thoughts? Anyone else tried these little "buttlets"?
It's the wood that makes it good.

They will cook faster than a single roast. Couldn't tell you how much faster though. Sorry. Don't forget you can always FTC to hold them for awhile if they get done to fast for you serving time. Have a great weekend and save some for me ;D

Thanks Ice.

I figured it might cook a bit faster but it's tough to know for sure. If I put 'em on at 11:00 pm
tonight, they might be done tomorrow by 10:00 am or less.

FTC is a staple at my house. Don't know if I can FTC for 8 hours though.....Guess I can hold 'em for a few hours, then pull and re-heat before dinner.

You have a great week-end too bud.

I believe that is what country style ribs are, cut up pieces of shoulder

If they are on sale for a good price (cheaper than bone in butt), I will get butt shoulder cut like that and make sausage out of it.
