We've been working day and night on this: http://www2.fbo.gov/spg/USAF/AMC/6CS/F2VUE...00/listing.html

If you think that is easy try looking at one of the regs of the posting above... FAR 52.247-34: http://www.arnet.gov/far/current/html/52_212_213.html

I also had to update my CCR http://www.ccr.gov/ so I could update my ORCA: https://orca.bpn.gov/

Susan and I are beat over this. However, after several days we are close to the finish. The site visit is tomarrow (Fri.) at 10 am... now get this... my numbers have to be in Sun by 10 am... talk about a push....

I know right now that when I get up Friday I will not go back to sleep until after 10 am Sunday.

On a bright note Congressman Bill Young is working on finding out why we have not yet recieved our next level of security clearance. We have got to have it. NON-ESSCORT clearance is not enough. We need Secret or Top Secret within the next 12 months.

I guess this is a rant with you my friends, and I know that all here have their troubles / problems; however, somtimes when you are tired enough it is good to express one's self.

Truthfully there are times when I wish I was just a carpet cleaner again. I made good money and life was so simple then....

Chin up, Olds...it'll get better.

Ya'll have helped me out a lot by letting me vent about my current cell phone deal, so posting things like this does work.

Hang in there Olds. All that government read tape must be frustrating. It's good to vent your frustrations.

Olds,

Being in security, the simple answer is that the wormholes in your signature line are gathering unwanted attention and concern.   :o

I'm starting to understand gun purchase waiting periods.  This just seemed the right thread to vent, so I appreciate the patience.

Today, I had the passenger window broken on my 2006 Explorer so that some J@ckoff could rip off my ipod and connection to the car sound system.  Here's the kicker: I was back at work at 1pm, clients in and out through 4:30, and my window on the parking lot the whole time.  And a landscaping crew working there during the time in question, "witnesses" to the whole ordeal.  We're a small business operation and I can see the whole you know what lot.  I can clock clients and secretaries in and out of the whole lot all afternoon.   I don't have an eye witness, but I know that crew in the parking lot "either saw something" or are responsible for my loss.  In that period, within 40 feet of my office window, somebody shattered the front passenger glass, ripped the electronics, and that crew has nothing to say so far...   Yeah, Baretta, we have some business to conduct.

Owner of the business is a client.  I think he loses on the business end.   He needs to know my evaluation.  And I hate to have to tell him that the arrows are pointing at his crew.  In the end, I think I'd want to know.  But I don't like having to point the finger where it ought to be.  More importantly, I don't like the BS I've had to go through this afternoon so that I (hopefully) can get the window repaired ASAP, and drive my wife and son to a wedding in Santa Barbara this weekend.

I'm sure going to find time this weekend for a nice glass of wine, some pleasant time with my family, and for planning the way to marinate this SOB thief before I smoke his dismembered flesh to feed to his friends (for the thought police: this was a cathartic reaction to a criminal act on my property... Of course, I intend  no violence and if the sick bastage happens to drop dead, I was else where)

God that felt good.

Thanks for the opportunity to vent.

Sorry about your loss...  But unless you have something as strong as concrete don't say a word.... Unless you have 100%, and if you say something and it is not 100% it will bite you in the butt.

I know how you feel. I've been riped off before myself.  However, I have learned one thing... when you go after someone make sure they don't see you coming until you have left. Otherwise you are just another fool in a sheep's clothing.

Bite your tounge until you are 100%. If you don't you will lose.

Sorry to hear about that. The world is full of A$$Holes waiting to take advantage of hard working people.

May I suggest a Glock 30 in a 45 cal  ;D

Thanks for the advice, Olds.  While I would like my stuff back plus the cost of the window, I recognize that likelihood as between slim and none (and slim left town).  I was speaking more about whether, and to what extent, I should alert this other business owner that he may have a bad egg among his crew.  Mostly, I was ranting...

But the good news is that the window was repaired quickly, we had a nice trip to Santa Barbara, and on the way back we picked up a half New York strip from Harris Ranch (the best beef I've had, better than any Omaha steak).  Grilled up two last night and I'm still experiencing the afterglow.
