I've noticed on my last two smokes that the pucks will only go onto the burner a little more than half way. I'm really burning 2 halves of a puck at a time. I guess by using the bubbas I'm still getting the full burn time, but this has just recently started happening. I do clean the residue off of the burner and the end of the puck tray, and they don't appear to be sticking on anything when they advance. Anyone have any sugggestions?

I would take your smoke generator apart and clean it. They do tend to get a fair bit of wood particles in then. I usually take it apart and use an air compressor to blow it out good. Some of the people here use grafite to lub the slider on it. The grafite is ok but don't use anything that is wet and will attract the particles and further gum up the slider.

Thanks Mike, I'll give it a try. I blow it out after every use, but I don't take it apart. It makes sense that there's still gotta be some wood particles left in there just blowing in circles the way I've been doing it. Thanks again!

Mr Walleye

When you take it apart you can (carefully) plug it in and watch it cycle as though it's pushing a puck into place. This will give you a better understanding of how works when it cycles. Just be careful of the burner so as not to burn yourself. It will also give you a better idea where to apply the graphite.

Thanks again Mike. I've got some ribs smoking right now, but as soon as I get them off I'll take it apart and clean it out.
