I was the newbie that had the problem with the runaway tempature on my digital smoker.I called bradley on tuesday on friday a new generator and a temp. sense gauge you can not beat that service. Now i unpacked the new generator which runs fine. but when i put the tube in that holds the wood pucks the tube leans like the tower of piza the base it sets in is tilted.will this jam up the pucks when i use it can i straigten up the base need help.

Strange.  Can't answer that question myself.  I suggest you try inserting the original tube.  If it still leans, give it a trial run.  If you still have problems, contack Bradley again.

The puck tube slides into a round bracket inside the smoke generator. This bracket has 3 forks on it that fit onto pins which aligns it correctly. Unfortunately the only way to correct it, if this is the problem, is to take the generator apart. It's not a difficult process to do. I know I have had mine apart and failed to align it correctly and the result was the tube leaning. I would think it could be caused either by shipping or a misalignment when it was put together.

Just my best guess at the problem.

As walleye says  ;D

If you take it apart it you will take out the screws on the bottom of the base that go around the outside.  Be patient the first time you will try to force it apart.  Have a look and you will see how the haves kind of clam shell apart.  It was not obvious to me the first time.

Fish-I had the exact same problem with the leaning tower. All I had to do was pull up on the top of the generator box (through the hole that the tube slides in) and pop it into place. It has worked fine since.

Hey Fish, I'm as happy as you are! For the first time, I actually felt like I could contribute something instead of tapping the knowledge of the seasoned veterans. Glad your problem is taken care of--enjoy!
