Newbie and cold weather

Well the Northerner, Mid Westerners and Nor Easters would be almost down right home sick here in Southern California.  We be lookin at snow right now.  Driving up I-15 shows snow up in the local hills towards the east.  Of course I am viewing it in 60 degree weather wearing jeans and a T-Shirt, no jacket.   But, that's why I said almost home sick.  That white stuff sure is pretty when you don't have to scoop it.  ;D

It's about 11 degrees out right now with a wind chill around -12. Have to walk the kids to school in about 15 minutes. Only 2 blocks, so not bad. expecting a high in the mid 20's today and then snow tonight and tomorrow AM. Just a lovely next couple of days in sunny Omaha, NE!!! :D At least I can look forward to my smoker and assorted goodies arriving any day now. Can hardly wait. The fridge has pork butt and brisket just waiting to be warmed up and kissed with smoke!!
