Every year since he has gone down Skyway get an infection in his front feet. It always happens when the weather cools... Last year it was two feet.

One minute he is fine. 5 minutes later he as riped the main pad off of his foot.

I can say it is not the rug. Our Boxer has no problems. I clean the rug with 100 parts of bleach to 1 millions parts of water. Next I treat the rug with 95 parts of a Quat per 1 millon parts of water. After 2 hours I do a full 4 gallon per minute flush with clear water. I overly rise out the rug There are no odors or anything growing in the rug.

If you have not seen Skyway this is his picture... it is in a PNG format for detail and as such will take a few for dial-ups to see. Sorry.

Wish us luck that it does not get to his last good foot. Carrying him for 10 days from point A to point B is nothing short of a double "b."

Sheesh, here we go again!  It sure would be nice if you could get a handle on his foot problem...I feel your frustration.

It will pass.

Olds,

Not trying to be funny here but I love that flashlight on Skyways rig.  Very nice addition.  I know its a bummer with the family pet gets a bit under the weather.  Hang in there man.

It's not how much you smoke but how many friends you make while doing it...

He has two...one on each side. Plus two rear lights. In the summer it just too hot to walk him in the day time.  Generally we will walk aroung mid-night or 5 am. The lights help me look for broken glass etc. plus it helps me keep up with what he is doing.

Like the time he took after that possum and caught it!! Man that was a mess--LOL!

I think I've figured out what has been happening to Skyway's foot. This last time we came across loose dogs three times. Well Skyway does not like other dogs so he tries to go after them. He pulls so hard against me it is all I can do to hold the back of the cart. In fact we have bent the frame twice on the cart do to this. I think he is tearing his pad loose in his effort to get to the other dog, and when we get home he chews off the torn part.
