I visit the Smokers Forum on a regular basis and read all the problems with the temp control and the generator.
I've had my smoker for a month and as of yet no problems, but it sure looks like I could have some down the road and hope it's not when I'm half done smoking something. Should the designer go back to the drawing board and redesign the above????? Also do the people at Bradley ever read the Smoker's Forum??

In my experiences, Cassandra is top-notch. If she tells you she'll call back in ten minutes, the phone rings after nine.

She's well-spoken, has a sweet voice and does what she says she's going to do. I hope Bradley has sense enough to maintain her employ.

Ya think next time I check into a hotel & they ask "Smoking or Non?" they would mind?

Don't get me wrong I agree 100% on what you are saying about Cassandra and by know means was i knocking her. My question was is there more defective Bradley Smokers out there than neeed be??

I remember some reference to a "new" model recently. Chez, is this an aftermarket upgradable item to replace the existing ceramic bulb? Does the new lamp increase temps or offer any longevity to the smoker. If Bradley has changed the lamp assembly, I would assume it would be to improve performance and reliability. How much to convert?

There is room on earth for all God's creatures....right on my plate next to the mashed potatoes.

Larry,

They're made in China, QC isn't up to our standards. But Bradley stands behind the lemons & makes them right. Yes, there are probably several lemons out there, but to decrease the percentage, the cost of the smoker would go up significantly IMO.

Never took your comments to be negative towards her, I was just re-inforcing what I read them to be.[:)]

Bill,

The "new" model bulb is stainless, but the only reason for upgrade is the high amount of broken glass ones by the time they reached the end-user. I have done temp tests using both, and aside from a slight mid-range spike with the SS, they map out pretty identical.

I don't know of one person we have ever sold a bulb to that actually burned it out. It's either the Darwin factor or CYA![:D]

If you feel the need, we stock them, $15.00.

Chez!

You are 100% right about Cassandra, she is great! I do have one of the  Chinese lemons and she has been great about standing by their product. Let me give you one example. My temp. slide control went out again, I called her and she had one out to me the NEXT day!! She did not have to do this but she is truly customer oriented. I just wish they sold a BS model with the Raptor on it. Of course I would buy it from you!!
