Has anyone ordered meat online?

Hi folks, I live in New York City and cant get great selections of meet without paying very expensive prices. Does anyone know of a site that sells and ships meats at a decent price? Thank you!

Hey TB while I have'nt ordered any meat online before, I did look at ordering some seafood but holy moly it was expensive!  You might try a google and see what pops up, I'll bet someone on here has looked into it before....heck if I had the first clue as to how to do it, I'd try to hook ya up.  ;)  Good luck!

Just adding this for the interest of Smokers in the UK.

I know of this guy who imports American beef to the UK, and then sells it mail order. He is EXPENSIVE, but it is a unique product for this side of the pond.

Its the most peculiar location for such an operation, but if anyone is looking for American beef, this guy is worth contacting.  FWIW, I get my meat from a different butcher in the same village as they are quite happy to get me whole briskets and ribs etc.

I would suggest you bite the bullet and buy local. Get to know a good butcher, and since you will probably buy a larger quanity than your average joe, he may sell you a whole piece discounted because this saves him some trimming and packaging costs. If he knows what cuts you like, he may let you know when he has certain cuts on special that he would like to get rid of.

This applies to all of us as well!!!
