had 1 rub that you could make for pork and only 1 rub you could assemble for beef, what would it be?  To me, Ice's rub is a no brainer, but if I only had one rub that I myself had to make, I would guess I would go with the Southern Succor.  Don't have a beef rub, but working on it.

Just curious as to what everyone's "go-to" rubs would be.

I usually make my own rub, its a basic dark brown sugar, chili poweder etc. I can post the recipe if you like. However, I use this for pork or chicken. I think its pretty standard rub though. I don't have one for beef atm.

As for store bought, although I do enjoy KC Master Piece sauces as off the shelf goes, I find their rubs to be alittle overly salty. I really found FatBoyz rub to be awsome though.

They can be found at PS Seasoning

Their Butter em Up and Gotcha Getcha Some is really good, but their Fixin it up good ya'll southern style is like the one I make with less brown sugar. Otherwise, off the shelf their pretty tasty.

I would really like to try Ice's rub sometime. Everyone raves so much about it here, and to be honest, no one here has been wrong on anything which tells me Ice's has got to be pretty fantastic.

Sure, if you'd like to.  I'd really like to see the different types of taste that everyone enjoys, plus, it could help someone find their new "go-to" rub.
