After 1 hour of smoke @ 220!



Then about 30 minutes in the rotissere! Nice quick and easy dinner!

Have you tried them in the smoker? The heat makes them more sweet and it seems to cut some of that acidic taste. My wife doesn't like fresh tomato but loves them smoked.

Cut a big one in half, spoon out all the seeds and slimy stuff, Sprinkle with salt, pepper and garlic salt (California style). Fill empty spaces with fresh Mozzy cheese. Grill indirect until cheese is melted and slightly brown on top. Tastes better than Pizza!

Thanks, 10.5.  I'll have to give it a try.  I've always felt guilty that as an Italian, I didn't like raw tomatoes.  I can eat tomato and spaghetti sauce with no problems, but raw tomatoes give me the heebie jeebies for some reason.
