Good evening!  Long time, no post!  We are going to smoke ribs for Mr' Seemore's parents, who will be over for lunch tomorrow.
We stopped at a local BBQ place, known for their ribs, to get some sauce.  While there, Mr. just HAD to buy a pulled pork sandwich:

It was IMPOSSIBLE to eat while in the truck, so we had to wait until we got home to share it:

The place has been around for years, and when the parents ran the joint it was the best rib place in our area.
Since the kids have taken over, it has lost a lot of the quality.  The sauce is still great, though.

Is it the sauce or the meat that is good?
Now, how does your compare?
Looks like that sandwich has a lot of sauce on it.

Giz, both were good.  The sauce is really good - lots of vinegar.  We want to learn to make it ourselves.  I think it is most like a Carolina BBQ sauce, in that it has a lot of vinegar and pepper.
The meat was good too - tender.
Although it is still good, it really is not as good as when Dad ran the place.  Far more expensive, too, versus doing our own ribs and pulled pork, etc.
Our ribs are better than theirs.  They smoke their ribs, but they do not put the sauce on the ribs and then grill them.  Rather, they dunk their ribs in the sauce.
Mind you, that sauce is  - for us in this area - what does it.

I STILL aint gonna pay $23 for a rack of ribs, I don't care how good the sauce is!

Be careful about calling yourself and EXPERT! An ex is a has-been, and a spurt is a drip under pressure!

I got three racks of baby backs in the smoker for that price  ;D and will be better than the local places ;D

10.5, that is why we buy the sauce to bring home to put on our ribs!!!

I agree, Deb.  In the years before we began to smoke our own ribs, though, that was where we went.
And, although I love Iceman's sauce, as well as the sauce we make, every once in a while I get a real hankerin' for their sauce........and it is really good on our ribs!
