Is getting an obs with a pid the same as just buying a dbs. What would be the difference? I have read that some have purchased a dbs along with a pid. I thought with the dbs, you wouldnt need anything else to control the temp. Please help. I am ready to buy. ???

Any of the Bradley's work well with the PID. The OBS (black) will serve you well with a PID. The PID with the DBS just makes it that much better.

If i was new knowing what i know now, I would go DBS/PID.  However there is a price difference between the OBS/PID and the DBS/PID

Whichever Bradley you choose you wont be disappointed.
