First Butt and Ribs with pics

Got the monkey off my back. Smoked 8.5 lb. butt and 2 baby back ribs. Smoked butt for 4 hours with mesquite and apple then into the oven till i.t. temp of 195. Took 10.5 hrs. Then ftc for another 2 hours. Butt fell apart when i was taking out of the pan to ftc. Bone came right out. I finished the butt in the oven so i could do the ribs in the smoker the next morning (of course using 10.5 bible on ribs). Perfect results. Used straight mesquite on the ribs. Here are some pics. Thanks. Everyone loved it. I got volunteered to do two pork butts for party my bother is having in a couple of weeks.

Yes sir, Was going crazy, had not had a day off in two weeks and finally got sunday off so i said to my self. Self, when you get home from work friday, prep the butt and ribs, then saturday, put the pork butt in the smoker and finish it in the oven so you can have the smoker available for the ribs on sunday morning. Then you will have pulled pork and ribs for sunday. Hey, it came out great.  ;D
