Got in on the cabela's deal and did some ribs (sorry no pics) last w/e and am doing a brisket this w/e.  My question regards the power indicator light on the main unit.  I just turned it on to heat up for the brisket, and the light didnt come on (I have the sliding dial/switch all the way to the right on high and had it there when the unit was off all week).  The unit seems to be heating up (will go check again now), but was concerned b/c the unit is virually brand new.  Moreover, when I did the ribs last week, the light would come on and off the whole time during the smoking process (and the temp did fluctuate a little bit).  Again this is just the power light on the main unit, the one on the puck feeder is fine.

Thanks in advance, and I will try and get my dig. camera working b4 the brisket is done.

Take the power cord out of the tower and plug it back in, firmly, a bunch of times. Those cords don't seat very well from the factory.
