Hello,

My Name is Paul and I live in Kansas City, KS.  I am not new to smoking but new to Bradleys.  I will be asking a lot of questions along the way.

I recently got a great deal on a Bradley SS Original off of Craig's List for $50.00.  The seller had broken the plugin on the back of the tower and didn't know how to fix it.  I got the part for it from Bradley for $4.72 + Shipping. ;D

I still have a couple of parts on it that I am going to replace before I start using the box but when finished I will still have under $100.00 in the unit.

Welcome aboard Paul,  I live over on the other side of MO from you.  Great deal you got there.  I have been looking for a deal like that for a long time, mainly for the generator, but would also be nice to have some spare parts.

What are you making first?

That's hard to say, I have to order some trays for it, somewhere between getting it and when I started working on it they disappeared, ever have that happen. LOL

I am also going to replace the feet on the front and the plastic panel on the bottom front as it is loose with the screw holes broken out.

I have a large commercial propane smoker which is what i use when smoking a lot.  I got this one thinking it would be nice to have for small smokes.  I also have a offset New Braunfels and a vertical New Braunfels Water Smoker.  So I am just taking my time on working on getting this one going.

I'm straight North of you, and I literally mean, straight North.  Been to your City a few times to watch some racing, and on the last trip, eat some BBQ right beside the track.

Happy Smoking.

Hi Paul;

Welcome to the forum.

When replacing the front feet you may want to look into adding feet to the front.

Thanks for the tip, that looks like a better system than the way it is set up now anyway...
