A question about my new Bradley.

I actually tried that this morning.    Set the temp at 190.   Temp fluctuated from 201 down to 179.   I speculated that this is because after the element shuts off it's still hot.   Conversely, the temp drops below the set temp and it takes a while for the element to heat up.   Just a guess on my part.

Mine seems to be more settled when it has some meat in the cabinets, but do have temp swings of = or - 10 degrees

I have the DBS 6 and it has about the same temperature swing so sounds pretty normal to me.

RAF, you may want to check on a PID, if the temp swing is bothersome. That will help hold temps a little tighter. So they say.
