Hello all,
1st thing of notice is the amount of quality info the forum seems to have...I'm truly impressed.
I'm not brand new, but my experience isn't all that vast with smoking. I have been using an old side by side Brinkman charcoal mostly as a grill until recently when I stepped off into the blue smoke.  This has produced great results, however is very time consuming maintaining.  This past weekend I knew smoking the venison and ribs wasn't going to be easy (it was around 12 F with a 30 mph gusting wind) but it got done (had to finish in the oven).  All this has led me to the decision to venture out into the electric world.  I have read over reviews and specs on all sorts of makes/models, and have come to the conclusion that the OBS is gonna be my new go to.
With that said, I do have a few questions, most of which were answered in the post by Thor.  The one thing I haven't seen yet is a topic of mobility.  My question is this, if I decided to keep this in the garage and use it out of the wind, how mobile can I make the OBS.  Has anyone ever tried to put a frame with casters on one of these? Is this even conceivable?
Also, I understand I'm going to loose my smoke ring with the OBS, and I'm reluctantly OK with this. Will the electrics performance cause all that much difference in the outcome or taste when compared to the charcoal?
Thanks for the time and input. I've got my finger on the order confirm key for an Amazon deal!

W E L C O M E  to the Forum Sgt Bruce!

There are several members here that have used tool carts, cabinets and other devices to accomplish what you seek for mobility.

I'm pretty sure Sams club carries a shelving unit with wheels that would fit that bill.

As far as the smoke ring goes, you can't taste it anyways.

Other than the aesthetics of the smoke ring, heat is as heat does, wether it is electric, charcoal or wood.

The OBS, nor any other low-output device, does not like the wind.

Hey Sarge you know there is a lot of guys and gals on here that are old time charcoal or wood smokers that will be along soon and they swear by the bradleys. We even have some competition smokers on here. Of course it seems you can't use the eletrics in a comp but they still love the Bradley. Yeah you lose the smoke ring but give up nothing to flavour. In fact I would say you get a better representation of smoke flavour because of the way the Bradley burns the pucks only to the point of being charred and not burned to ash which is when the bad flavours come out of the wood from the tars plus you don't get the carcinogens from it either. I use to smoke with a homemade plywood smoker with a hot plate and frying pan and we would cook the wood till it was ash and then throw somemore in and cook way. When I read about the Bradleys I came to realize the benefits of it and got one. After I started using it I noticed a distinct improvement in the flavour I was getting out of my smoked salmon and all my family were saying this is the best salmon I had ever done. Back when I had the homemade, all I used it for was salmon and since getting the Bradley the world of smoked food has opened up to me. Now I smoke anything I can get my hands on plus with the quick to make cold smoke adapter I now smoke cheese too. I am also going to try some of the Loks with a salmon which is something you would never do with my old smoker.

P.s. As for mobility this thing only weighs 20lbs without the smoke generator on it so it is easy to move around. I have a rack that is used for luggage with ball bearing wheels and a handle that extends up that I have been looking at to see if I could mount to the Bradley. But cause I keep mine the the kitchen closet and set it up on the deck table I have not needed to do it yet. I will try to put a pic of it up so you get the idea of it but my damn comp doesn't like to coperate with me lately.

Hey Sarge,
As far as mobility, FLBR hit it on the head.  My Bradley sits on a 3 shelf cart that I purchased from Sam's Club.  It is a sturdy cart that fits it perfectly.  I think I paid $58.00 for it.  It is on 4 large locking casters.  Only thing you have to do differently is swap locations with what is supposed to be the top shelf with one of the lower shelves as the designated top shelf has a lip on it that will prevent the Bradley door from opening.

Heck, the Bradley is so light that you could literally pick it up and carry it wherever you want to go.

Welcome to the fun Sgt. Bruce

I had my Bradley on an tool cart that had a top and bottom shelf and carried everything I needed. It is made by the tool shop, you can get one of them from Menard's, just turn the top shelf upsidedown when you put it together.

I now have mine in the "Smoke Shed" (thats what every body is calling it now) on a bench I made from some cabnets out of a house remodel with a power vent over it so I can smoke in any weather.

The only thing besides the smoke ring you will miss from the lump burner smoker is the pain in the ass of keeping the temp where you need it. I have loaned out my 3 other smokers shortly after I got the Bradley and have only wished I had my off set back one time.

Good luck and keep us posted on your new adventure.

This was the info I was seeking. Thanks for the quick replies.  FLB...wind...I found out the hard way! Had to run to the home improvement store for a water heater blanket to sustain my temp.  Wont be trying that one again, well at least not soon. Time causes me to forget what a pain it was...but that's yesterday and it got done.  I'll give the carts a go.
