Welcome aboard gizy. The best advice for cold weather I can think of is to keep it out of the wind, but coming from Arizona I'm probably not the one to ask. I'm sure someone will come along soon with a hot option for you.

Hello from Langley to bad you left but since you did you chose a nice place to move too!
if it were me I would move the smoker to the garage area if thats not possible just try and shelter it a bit,
you weather up there has been a little balmy lately and looks good for the next 2 weeks too. so your probably ok anyway

Welcome, gizy!  I found a place for my smoker in my garage and vented it to the outside.  Nice to be able to use it year around!

Enjoy your time here... lots of great folks.

Come on in gizy!

Here in Nebraska it gets real cold.

I keep my smoker in the garage to keep it out of the wind.

I also place foil wrapped bricks in the smoker to give it mass (hot mass = quicker recover in heat after you open the door).

I also added a second element and keep the smoke generator on even if I'm not smoking.

2 elements + generator = 1125 watts of heat.

Hope this helps.

Mike.

Welcome to the fun gizy.

The wind is your smokers worst enemy, keep that baby sheltered.

I have mine in "The Smokin Shed" and smoke year round.

Welcome aboard
If you are determined enough, you can use your smoker in almost any temp
I built an insulated hotel for mine, search the site for Hotel Bradley and you will see what I mean
Coldest smoker yet was a balmy minus 22 C in January
Spring is just around the corner !
All I wanted to do was slow smoke some ribs.  Another addiction created thanks to the Bradley that requires regular servicing...  But what an addiction to have.  Even better to share here with some of the best people on the planet.

Would you like smoke with that sir ?
