Spring and pseudo summer have come early to the great white north
The gods have smiled on us and the golf club opens tomorrow at 9 AM
This is incredible as we are usually the last to open
To think that a week and a half ago I was in Stowe Vermont chasing the last bits of snow down a mountain

To get ready I have been busy getting all the yard work done, grass raking, fertilze, clean out gardens, prune trees etc

I have sweaty hands already and anticipating the pain of hitting the first golf shot of the year as I have not swung a club since last November
The hot tub is ready to welcome my return from the blessed links
And of course there is cold beer in the fridge
And the weather is so good I have booked Monday off as a vacation day to continue the bliss

Bring it on baby !

All I wanted to do was slow smoke some ribs.  Another addiction created thanks to the Bradley that requires regular servicing...  But what an addiction to have.  Even better to share here with some of the best people on the planet.

Would you like smoke with that sir ?

We had one of the local courses open a couple of weeks ago after some warm weather.   The die hards were on the course like flies on ......... .   Not me.   I like to wear shorts on the course and a golf shirt not wind pants and a jacket.    Temps were in low to mid teens C.   Not my idea of golf weather.   Of course then we got reminder that this is Saskatchewan in March.   It snowed a little and temps dropped for a few days.    I think I'll wait a little longer.   I'll settle for watching the PGA on TV.   Next week it's the Masters.    After that I'll think about it.

Golf courses close?  Really?

I will play in anything but rain   LOL
My rule with rain is I will not leave the first tee if its raining but I will most likely finish if it starts mid round
There used to be a course near by that was open all year
One year we played every weekend, every month
I used to carry an electic screwdriver and drill bit to get a tee stuck in the ground
Then I started borrowing rubber tees from driving ranges so I did not have to drill   LOL
Damn I am so addicted !

ps    I DID NOT SLEEP WITH TIGER WOODS

Stop flaunting it KH.  You don't know the thrill you're missing, sliding down a snowy slope, in your car with the wheels locked up, heading for the guard railing at the curve at the bottom with a herd of deer in the middle of the road staring at you.  Ha!  You think you have it good.  ;D

Where there's smoke, there's food.
