In California Refer is an abbreviation for a refrigerator. Please note I was careful not to say reefer, which is the other thing to smoke in California besides meat!

Back East we call it a fridge or a frig (the refrigerator, that is . . .); both spellings are pronounced the same.

Naw.... I should have just E-Mail Bill instead of posting the question here... was not thinking. I had been almost 8 hours on the recipe site and was quite tired. My eye were burnt from the screen...I don't know how folks make a living looking at a screen all day long without a Kool eye wash.
