Just an FYI.

Wasn't sure where to post this, if at all.  It's not a "Hot Deal".  I'm sure Brian will slap me upside the head if it doesn't belong here.

I bent a few pins pushing my CF card into my old faithful card reader.  Been out of the picture business for about a week.  I found this one on overstock.com.  I'm a member for about $15/year.  I consider it worthwhile.  Anyway, I got the one pictured below (proving it really works)  for $1.83, free shipping.  Hard to go wrong.

Good deal.   I should probably pick up a spare..

Me too.  I just wanted to make sure this one worked first,  :D

You coulda bent the pins back.  And if you have firewire - a firewire reader is bunches faster.  With as many pics as I take, I'd still be downloading last years pics.  However, that is a great price - good score!

Caney,

The pins were pretty smashed flat.  The camera has a Firewire port but my computer doesn't seem to have one.  The USB 2.0 high speed works pretty well.

I did a couple of shoots a while back.  One of a friend's wedding and one of a company summer picnic.  About 400-500 shots each.  Had USB 1.1.  It was agonizingly slow.
