I have an Ultra model food saver and I think the pressure pads are worn out. The problem is I cannot seem to find any parts anywhere. I contacted the company and they gave me a few numbers in Canada and the U.S. but they carried no parts. They want you to throw it away and buy a new one. So I am wondering if anyone on here can help me. Thks Dave

Piker I just bought a foodsaver but I have heard that if you start to loose vacuum. Try flipping the pads over and reinserting them. Might work for you.
Bacon is the Crack Cocaine of the Food World.

Be careful about calling yourself and EXPERT! An ex is a has-been, and a spurt is a drip under pressure!

I have actually replaced one pad with a high dencity foam cut to size I found at work ... seems to work good. ;)

The model I have is obsolete now and no parts available. I even made new pads out of weather stripping only to discover the pump is almost wore out. So after 12 yrs. I will retire this one. Thks Dave

Hey Piker;
PM me with the model and serial #s. There is a place in Anchorage that rebuilds old Food Savers. One of mine is 14 years old and they had parts for it. I'll check on it for you when I get back to town on R&R.

Thks iceman but I already had a ceremony for the old one. Upon further checking I found the pump almost wore out, the sealing bar quit so I quietly laid it to rest. With shipping costs the exchange on our money etc It makes it near impossible to do anything online in the U.S. Our companies up here are sadly lacking in websites and online shopping. I purchased a V3400 model with most of the bells and whistles from Costco. We will see how it works out. thks again Dave

Yer welcome Dave. Hope the new one works out well for you.
