welcome  aboard,

a simple rub would  be

coat the meat with  Paprika
then a  coat of pepper
then a coat of  salt
then a coat of granulated  garlic
finally a  coat of dry  ground mustard

let stand over  night on the meat and  start  smoking /  cooking and  depending on your  meat, is what temp you  would take it to,  brisket would be 190 to 200 it temp  with a box  temp of 210 to 225

WOOHOO! Welcome to the forum Cobra.  When doing those chickens make certain your vent is 100% wide open to let the moisture out.

Go to the recipe website at www.susanminor.org  The recipe website contains recipes from the members of this forum and are geared toward the Bradley Smoker.  The recipe is there for Jan's Dry Rub.  Jan is my wife.  We came up with the rub specifically for chicken but have found that these guys are using it on almost everything.  It's good on ribs too.

Have fun and report back with your smoking results.
