Great going FLBR!  That should last you about a week  ;D

Sounds about right. I plan on another load of this size in the next two weeks.   ;D ;D

Looks great FLBR.

So you started off with 13 pounds and ended up with 7?  Quite a reduction for sirloin.

You better get more started soon  ;D

Looks good FLBR.

So I did 7 lbs on Saturday, and after looking at it, picked up another 17lbs today. trimmed it was 15lbs.

and I devised a new mixing/seasoning method:

dump it all in a big bus tub and get your hands dirty while your Mrs applies the seasonings...

I picked up a food grade bucket today at a nearby grocery store...   Their deli sells them w/ lids for $2.     That will be my new mixing container.

Squirt that will make a good bucket to brine your own ham, chicken, turkey as well.

FLBR,

That is one awesome, kick-a$$, genious, ingenious, and awfully pretty pepper-grinder.  I nearly fell off my chair when I saw the photo of that.  I've turned a few peppermills in my day (on the lathe), and I have an 18 inch tall one that I have yet to finish.  Might have to find a replacement for my 18 volt DeWalt drill, or maybe the impact driver would better suit the purpose.  You have my creative juices flowing, and when I combine jerky making with woodworking..., we just might have a very dangerous combination  ;D ;D ;D
