any tips on drying fruit

Got my digital four rack  smoker the other day and christened it by smoking some chuck short ribs............used hickory for two hours and then gave it another another six hours at 210 degrees, made a wet rub of green onions, garlic chili sauce, ginger, fish sauce, and soya sauce all thrown into the blender.  I was blown away by how yummy they were, all in all a pretty good first result.  Wondering if anyone out there can give me any tips on drying fruit.  Thanks

I never tried it using my smoker. I've done it in a dehydrator before. Make sure to use some spray oil on the racks because they will stick. Cut em thin about 1/8" to 1/4" and leave em sit overnight at very low temp 130-140F with good air circulation and open vents. I like to put apples in lemon juice to help prevent a color change. I also sprinkle on some cinnamon. It'll take some practice on times because each fruit is different, and different thicknesses will take different times as well.
