Was at Wally World today and they had Honeysuckle Breast (and it was

shapped like one BIG breast) for $1.29lb. I guess I should have got one.

They'll do that for the bone-in breast ones.    Lots of waste, so you still end up paying almost 3 bucks a pound for the breast meat.   However, they are still awesome smoked!  You just have to carve and serve.

Did three of these today, I carved one up to make sandwiches and vac sealed the others. One went to the frig for a few days and the other to the freezer.

Very good

Thanks for the idea here.  I happened to be smoking one of these boneless turkey breasts today, so I decided to go ahead and add a nice honey maple glaze.   The wife put dijon mustard in our glaze.

It may seem like I'm rubbing salt in the wound, but the truth is I'm trying to cure it.

Thanks squirtthecat

I didn't make it over there today but will tomorrow...

Cool.  Let me know if it works out for you...   I can't see why not.

They come 2 to a case.  Roughly 20 pounds total - give or take.   This last bunch ran about $3.25/lb.

Stopped and picked up my case of turkeys today. Still $3.25lb.

Thanks

So here I am this morning cruising thru the forum looking for ideas when I came across your Turkey sandwich photos........ Yum I thought to myself......

That was then and now it's 5:45pm and I've just applied the first batch of glaze to my two beautiful looking hunks of Turkey.    :P

Dont know about where you all live but here in southern california it's hard to find fresh turkey breasts boned and ready this time of year   ;)  Thank goodness for Gelsons!

Can't wait.

Even got all the makings for the sandwiches.
