New to Forum-Temperature Question

The only reason, I can see, the unit should be capable of reaching 300+ deg is to be able to reach an optimum temp of 200 or 220 during the cooler months, or even cold months, maybe in the garage or something. I have had trouble reaching 200 in cooler ambient temps. I agree, if they advertise it to reach 300+, it should.

Although I got my unit in the UK and it is a 240volt model, several of us have experienced similar things on both sides of the pond.
