My OBS has been outside under a tarp for a while.  Mistake.  Now, what is the best way to clean the mold out?  I first thought of bleach:  but would that affect the taste of foods?

My OBS is now back in the garage.

Unfortunatley I think bleach would be the best, and yes that probably will leave an odor. I'd do the bleach first, let it sit for a couple of days, then clean with soap and water, then re-season.

I would jack the slider to MAX and leave it that way with the vent almost closed for about four hours.

Then scrub out the residue.

I would not think that unscented bleach would leave any kind of residual odor.

I would hit it with high heat as FLB suggested, scrub it, then give it a wash with white vinegar. Then let it air out for a few days and season it.

Flb and Habs have you covered on this one!
Bleach would be the last ditch effort.

I have the Auben Pid controller, 300 at 4 hours.
